We do not charge for estimates. Please understand that we can not provide you an accurate repair estimate until we’ve inspected your watch. Rest assured that no work will be performed until a thorough inspection is performed and we send you an estimate. After the estimate is confirmed or revised and your final approval is received…that is when we will start the work. If you “decline” the estimate or elect not to proceed with the repair, your only responsibility would be for the cost of shipping the watch back to you.

2 Easy steps to get your watch serviced:

• Email tchase@chasing-time.com with questions and/or write a note explaining what type of repair is needed for your watch. Don’t forget to include your name, email address and phone number, so we can contact you back.
• Please ship the watch in a secure cardboard box to avoid shipping damage. Choose a shipping carrier and insure your package for the full replacement value of your watch.

SHIPPING:

We would suggest shipping your watch by an insured method that is trackable that requires a recipient signature. We recommend USPS Registered mail. On the Registered mail form, there is a box to check to insure the package, and it can be insured for up to $25,000.

Registered Mail is handled separately from the rest of the mail, and is therefore more secure than plain ‘Insured’ Mail (in fact, everyone who handles a Registered package has to sign for it throughout its transit). Insured Mail uses a blue sticker/form, while Registered uses a red sticker. Insured Mail is adequate for packages valued at less than $500. There is a price break (at about $500) where Registered Mail is actually cheaper than Insured. Additional insurance for Registered packages is relatively inexpensive, so we generally over-insure packages.
